Fans, blowers, agitators, on-site vehicles, mobile machinery and other supporting equipment are often left off main maintenance plans, even though a failure can still stop production. These machines tend to run with light to moderate loads, but they may face dust, weather, vibration or limited lubrication access. Buyers want simple replacement parts that can be identified quickly and bought together with larger orders.
- Use self-aligning ball bearings on light shafts in fans and similar equipment where the two bearing seats may not line up exactly.
- Choose mounted bearing units for machines with limited service access or where the replacement must fit existing housings.
- Replace wheel and hub bearings as matched positions, and check the vehicle or machine reference against the full bearing designation.
- Select sealed versions for outdoor, marine or field equipment exposed to moisture, mud and irregular relubrication.
